How to change cheap wigs be best wigs
No one loves cheap wigs all the time, much though we may try. More wigs allow you to experiment with different colors, textures, and lengths without having to make any real commitment. On the downside, the price of some wigs can put a limit on your creativity. While cheap wigs can often look just that, there's a world of difference between cheap and trashy. Here are some simple tricks to get the most out of your wig.
Before purchasing, make sure you are happy with the length, shape, and texture. A cheap wig won't stand up to trims or curling irons.
To brush the cheap wig, use a human hair wig stand or your knee as a "stand" for the cap; keep one hand pressed against the cap and brush with a wide-tooth comb. Keeping your hand pressed against the cap will prevent an excess of hair being pulled out. Remember never try to brush a wet wig.
To wash your wig, you'll need a synthetic wig shampoo. Cheap wigs are typically not made from human hair and won't stand up to standard shampoo. Fill a sink with cool water and add about a cap's worth of synthetic wig shampoo. Gently swish in the sink to ensure that the entire wig gets wet. Gently scrub the cap's underside. Leave the wig to soak for 10 minutes, and then rinse by soaking in a sink of cool water. Allow to air dry on a towel. Do not rub or squeeze! Apply a synthetic hair conditioner to eliminate frizz.
Store your cheap wigs on a wire cap stand between wearing. A stand will also help you style your wig. Though the wig can't be wildly altered, you can still use a synthetic wig hairspray to set different looks. Shine serums are also available to keep your cheap wigs looking their best.
